Never thought I'd see you here...

I have never considered myself the "blogging type" yet here I am!  I can't imagine that I will have anything to say that will impress anyone or be nearly exciting enough to read. But I think someday I will be thankful that I started one when I actually had enough time to put in to it!

Kent and I have now been married for six months!  Time has really flown and we are loving every second of it.  Being married has brought many different experiences, joys, and challenges!

Our joys started on day one...our wedding!  It was the best day ever!  I married my best friend, the weather cooperated with us enough to let our outdoor reception stay in our parent's beautiful backyard, the bowling ball cannon (thanks Dad, Josh, and Uncle Dave) didn't hit anything or anyone, and all of our family and friends could be there.  It was a great way to start out our marriage.

The challenges didn't wait long to start happening...a month after the wedding Kent got mono!!  I always thought that mono meant you were just really tired for several months...WRONG!!!!  Poor Kent was super tired, was running a fever, had terrible swollen tonsils (they were bad enough to make two doctors say "Yuck!"), was throwing up everything, and at one point his entire body broke out in the most terrible rash I've ever seen!  But he handled it like a champ...some of the best quotes, "None have suffered as I", “Not even giving birth can be this bad", and (my favorite) "Why would you do things that don't make me happy!?"  It really did bring us closer together but thank goodness it didn't last for more than two months!

Right now we are going to BYU-I.  Kent is studying Music; he wants to be a college saxophone teacher.  He is in the main university jazz band, a combo group, and the lead classical saxophone quartet.  Last week He played in a concert with Eric Marienthall and this week he is off to Moscow for the Hampton Jazz Festival.  He works really hard and spends a lot of his time in the Snow's practice rooms.

I am in my Junior year studying Sociology.  I'm still not sure what I will be doing but I think I would like to work in a juvenile delinquent center.  It's taken me a while to settle on a major but I've finally struck gold!  I love all my classes and can't wait to learn more.

We stay very busy with school and our work, Kent works at Wells Fargo and I work at City Storage.  We are loving life and can't wait to see what the next six months bring!
